The Open Lucht Museum at Fort Nieuw-Amsterdam will be our new working place for the next weeks. There are 10 sculptures and installations planned by the Germany-Suriname connection. It will be a high level, interesting and unique exhibition, opening on sunday, April, 15, 10 a.m.
Das Open Lucht Museum am Fort Nieuw-Amsterdam wird in den nächsten Wochen unsere neue Wirkungsstätte. Es werden 10 Skulpturen und Installationen der Germany-Suriname Connection verwirklicht. Es wird eine erstklassige, interessante und außergewöhnliche Ausstellung, Eröffnung am Sonntag, 15. April 2018, 10 Uhr
Brokopondo Projekt 2018 
Es ist so ein schöner Ort. Nach unseren ersten zwei Besuchen und denTreffen mit den lokalen Künstlern und dem Direktor haben die ersten von uns angefangen im Open Lucht Museum Fort Nieuw Amsterdam zu arbeiten. Andere waren im Sägewerk und einer Schreinerei um die große Skulpturen zu beginnen. Alle sind beschäftigt mit der Suche nach Material und Werkzeug, die Künstler aus Surinam sind uns eine große Hilfe, genauso wie die Menschen vom G Artblok und vom FVAS. Es ist uns eine Freude so nette und hilfsbereite Kollegen und Unterstützer hier zu haben.
It is really a lovely place! After our first two visits and the meetings with the local artists and the director of the museum Fort Nieuw Amsterdam some artists started working on the place today. Others went to the sawmill and started working at the carpenter’s workshop for the big sculptures. Everybody is busy trying to find materials and tools while we have a lot of help by the local artists and of course the G artblok and fvas People. Lots of work to do but it is a pleasure to work with all those nice guys here.
